North Carolina 2023 Errors?

Hi all,

I got an email that may or may not be from TurboTax claiming I underpaid on my state taxes. Obviously I'm not about to click on any links in that email, and I'm having trouble verifying its claims one way or the other. I logged into my TurboTax account: only notification is about a state I've never been to. I tried calling the customer service number listed on the website but it works badly and asked for permission to access my computer (haha, no) before hanging up on me. I don't want to attract attention to myself by checking with the state IRS. Does anyone know how to get a hold of a real, verified Intuit employee?

TurboTax never knows if you paid your state tax due. TT receives no information from the IRS or your state after you file your tax return. Your only proof that you paid your federal or state tax due is your own bank or credit card record. TurboTax would not contact you to say that you "underpaid" since TT has no idea how, when or even if you paid the state.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. The question I'm hoping to have answered is: does anyone know how to get a hold of a real, verified Intuit employee?
