On line 6 of the Illinois form, it asks for the overpayments from Schedule 1, Line 1. Turbotax is populating with Line 14 instead of Line 1. Line 14 is $0 because it is a non-taxable refund. But Line 1 is $331.

If the illinois refund (this would be for years 2022 and prior) is not taxable for federal purposes, then line 1 of schedule 1 of the federal 1040 would be zero. Therefore line 6 on the Illinois 1040 should be zero. The taxable portion of the state refund would appear on line 1 of schedule 1 of the federal 1040 and be a subtraction on line 6 of the Illinois 1040

line 14 of schedule 1 (federal 1040) is for moving expenses and line 14 on the iL 1040 is your current year Illinois state income tax which is calculated based on line 11 of the Illinois 1040.

So the entire worksheet would be Schedule 1, Line 1.
