There is not a box 7b on the Form 1099-R. Did you mean that there is a code B in the box 7?

On IRS form 1099-R, there is not a box 7b. There is a box 7.

IRS Instructions for Form 1099-R, page 17, refers to box 7 code B here:

Designated Roth Account Distribution

Use Code B for a distribution from a designated Roth account. But use Code E for a section 415 distribution under EPCRS (see Code E) or Code H for a direct rollover to a Roth IRA.
