Cannot Select Efile for State Return

I e-filed the Federal Return, and chose to e-file the State return later. Now TurboTax only allows me to print the Colorado State return. Is this a bug in the TurboTax program? I didn't have this issue in 2022.

Try deleting your state return and follow the steps below to file your return after you federal return is accepted.

To delete your state return with TurboTax Online, follow the steps below:

From the menu, scroll down and select State and Continue
Select Delete next to CO and Yes.

Once your federal tax return has been accepted, you can e-file your state tax return. Follow the steps below for TurboTax Online:

Sign in to TurboTax.
On the Your 2023 federal return was accepted! page, open Your tax returns & documents, and then select 2023
Select Add a state or Continue your return
Select State from the menu
On the Let's get your state taxes done right screen, select Continue and TurboTax will guide you through preparing your state return.

I tried deleting the State Return and reprocessing, but TurboTax still will not provide the option to e-file the State Return. Looks as if we'll have to mail that return instead.

Has your Federal e-file actually been "Accepted"...or just filed and pending?

When e-filing separately, the Fed e-file has to get to the "Accepted" status, before you can e-file the state.

Yes, the Federal Return was accepted by the IRS before I deleted the State return, recreated it & attempted to e-file that return. This appears to be a bug in the TurboTax software, but their Support staff are NOT very helpful, especially when you can't understand them, due to language barriers.
