Nebraska 1040N Active Military status not checked

I am active duty military and completed the full Turbotax process -- Federal, and two state returns. During the final look through before I filed, I noticed the Nebraska 1040N has two check boxes, one for Farmers and one for Active Military. For some reason, this box is not checked and I've ensured my profile shows I'm active duty. In fact, the Turbotax software acknowledged my military (& my wife's military spouse) benefits throughout the process.

Can someone help? Maybe it's a software glitch, but there was nowhere during the State return process to check that box, and it should have carried over the federal return information over but did not.

There are two places to verify your active military status is properly shown. The first one is in "My Info" as you have mentioned. The second is after entering your active duty military form W2 in the federal interview you will arrive a page asking about "Uncommon Situations."

One of the items in that list is "Active Duty Military Pay." You need to check that item.

With those two places checked in the federal interview, the NE form 1040N should update to show the "Active Military" box checked.

I went back and checked those two areas you mentioned. Both were properly checked showing I’m active duty military and my W-2 wages are from the military. However the issue still remains and the Nebraska 1040N still does NOT check the “Active Military” box.

Many things have been corrected in the latest updates to TurboTax. Are you still experiencing this problem?

Make sure you have ran all updates.
