      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size:14px;"&gt;You can get it, but it won't add to your refund.&amp;nbsp; A carryover of any amount of this credit will never be included in your refund amount, since it's a non-refundable credit.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size:14px;"&gt;A non-refundable credit is one that will only offset tax that you might otherwise owe.&amp;nbsp; Any amount of the credit that isn't used in offsetting that tax won't be reimbursed to you as part of your refund.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;i.e. make sure you've entered every scrap of your income first.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If your Std or Itemized deductions reduced your taxable income to a zero, without the solar credit, then you aren't suing it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also, there are some credits that are used before the solar one...because the solar can carry-over, certain "refundable" or a few "non-refundable" ones that don't allow a carryover, those are applied first.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
