topic My husband moved to SC in May from GA. He has income from both states. I live and work in GA. On our GA taxes it ask when"you" moved out of state. It does not give me the option of separating myself from my husband. Am I missing something? SC was straig in State tax filing

Unfortunately if your husband was a part-year residence of GA and SC while you were a full year resident of only SC, then in order to not have the full amount of his income included on your GA resident state income tax return, you will need to file your states as married filing separately. You can still file your federal return jointly.

Here is information about filing jointly for federal income tax purposes but filing married filing separately for state tax purposes.
