    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried to efile both the federal and state (California) tax returns and paid $25 in turbo tax for the state efile. Then both returns were rejected for some reason and then it turned out that I have to paper file both returns. My question is, how can I get the refund of $25 since the efile didn't go through? I did some research in the community and found that I need to call a number. I did that and found that the wait time is predicted to be over 1 hour... is there any other way to get the refund? Thanks!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P class="p1"&gt;You received an email that we cannot see that tells you why your tax return was rejected. &lt;SPAN class="Apple-converted-space"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P class="p2"&gt;Some rejected returns can be fixed and re-filed.&lt;SPAN class="Apple-converted-space"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;Some have “un-fixable” reasons for the rejection and have to be mailed instead. What is the rejection code or rejection message?&lt;SPAN class="Apple-converted-space"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P class="p1"&gt;&lt;SPAN class="Apple-converted-space"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;If it was rejected for AGI—-be aware that many 2021 returns took so long for the IRS to process that your 2021 AGI might not be in the IRS system. &lt;SPAN class="Apple-converted-space"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;Try using zero instead.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P class="p3"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P class="p1"&gt;If filing with zero is rejected then file again but select the option that you did not file last year.&amp;nbsp; The IRS does not see that question and it will allow you to e-file with no AGI question.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P class="p4"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P class="p3"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank for your reply, and sorry that maybe I was not clear, but rejection is not really the topic of this post, as I already knew why and knew that I wouldn't be able to efile again.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My question is really that, since I tried to efile and paid $25, but now I cannot efile any more, how can I get the refund of $25 that I paid?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
