Non-Arizona municipal interest

I have looked at the other responses to my problem. I am unable to submit both my Fed and State taxes because I have an error: "Form 140: Line 13 Non-Arizona Municipal Interest has been entered. This entry requires a schedule listing the payors and the amount."

I am unable to enter anything on the page. There is no drop-down menu, as suggested in some answers. I cannot get to the actual form.

In the AZ return, I am assuming you entered the non-Arizona municipal interest income when asked. You are stating that you did not get the next screen when asked. Please review that you filled in the AZ information in the AZ section. If the screen refuses to show, delete the state and log out.

If the state is paid for already, you can't delete it.

Follow these steps:

Log out of your return and try one or more of the following:
- Don't use Internet Explorer.
- Clear cache and cookies,
- Sign in using a different browser.
- Sign in using a different device.
Log back into your return.

When you go to AZ, you should see these screens.

Hello!

I have been struggling with this very same issue for a couple of hours.

Please excuse my ignorance, I am not tax savvy.

My situation:

I'm getting this screen when I try to file (after I paid for State filing)

(Note, I believe there's a bug in the system, Line 15 [not 13] in Form 140 is Non-Arizona Municipal Interest)

After trying many times, I finally got the 'Provide Schedule of Non-Arizona Municipal Interest' window. But I am very lost on what to put here.

Now, I think those $19 are coming from my Wealthfront 1099-Div, under Line 12: Exempt-interest dividends . When I go down to the 3 securities adding up to $18.93 Total Tax-exempt dividends, and see their breakdowns, I get perplexed. There's 3 lists of municipal bonds, with all of them having over 47 states. Me being the nerd I am, I created a spreadsheet to see their percentage breakdowns and whatnot, but there's a final discrepancy of over 10 cents.

Do I put all the states, and their amount? And hope that 10 cent discrepancy doesn't flag their system?

Do I just put Wealthfron and $18.93?

Am I completely missing the point and looking at the wrong data?

No, don't list every state and do not be concerned about 10 cents. You should put one total for all other states that is not Arizona (AZ). You can exempt only municipal interest that is earned and attributed to AZ holdings. If you put in one amount and must select a state, you can select any other state you have on the worksheet. The key is that AZ wants income taxed that was not derived from their state.

2024 TurboTax does not allow the box to drop down so that I can enter the municipal companies and non-Arizona detail. Nor will it allow me to enter under "Explain" any information. Thanks
