      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you worked in one state but lived in another state, you need to file the non-resident state return FIRST so that your resident state will give you credit for the tax paid to the other state.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The credit for tax paid to another state will come up automatically, in the resident state software.&amp;nbsp; You are usually aske to enter the amount of income that is being double taxed (the box may be pre-populated, but you are allowed to change it).&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;For more specific instructions, identify the two states. State rules will vary. There is no one way to do it.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
