    <description>&lt;P&gt;You might want to wait until the IRS has fully processed your original return (refund received or payment withdrawn).&amp;nbsp; The IRS does automatically correct some errors on the Federal return.&amp;nbsp; If they do, then they would send you a letter explaining what they changed and why.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Amended return</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I received notice that I had to file an amended return from the state.&amp;nbsp; I completed the&amp;nbsp; return and will send to the state this afternoon.&amp;nbsp; When i completed my amended state return an amended federal return was generated.&amp;nbsp; I have not received any notice from the IRS.&amp;nbsp; Should I mail the amended federal return now&amp;nbsp; with the appropriate note attached or wait until i am notified by the IRS and sent the amended return in at that time??&lt;/P&gt;</description>
