    <description>&lt;P&gt;The manual instructions do not apply to states. The solution was to call support, get passed through to a supervisor who then had me download a new copy of the CA program. This fixed the issue. Please pass on this advice to anyone else having this issue.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The instructions for the manual update say that it is only for federal - not states. The 3801 issue is for CA. So does this mean I need to paper file the CA return if I have a form 3801? The form isn't actually even required to be filed but I a unable to delete it.&amp;nbsp; I do not have an AMT issue.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Please follow the instructions &lt;A href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/updating/help/manually-update-turbotax-for-windows-software-basic-deluxe-premier-home-business/00/26041" target="_blank"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt; to manually update your Federal return. Once the Federal software updates, you will be able to update the State software the usual way.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
