However, if your gross income was under $4,000 or $3,100 if you are someone's dependent, you wouldn't be required to file a New York tax return because your income is so low.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you have to file a New York return, your tax may be reduced for income earned in another state.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
