Can someone please direct me to the page on TurboTax where it asks "Do you need to complete Form NYC-1127?" under the "Nonresident Employee of the City of NY section?

I misunderstood the question and and need to go back and change my answer but I don't know where to find that particular question! It was a "yes" or "no" bubble question and I have no idea where to find it. Thanks in advance!

If you are not required to file NYC-1127, please follow the steps below:

Open your return.
Click on State on the left hand side.
Click Review next to your NYS return.
Continue through the interview until the screen Take a look at New York credits and taxes.
Scroll down to the section named New York City and Metro Commuter Taxes.
Click on Start next to NYC Nonresident Employees Tax (NYC-1127).
Follow the on-screen instructions.

Thank you so much! I found that section and was able to change my answer.

When I went back to check and make sure the answer was changed, it switched by answer back to how it was before (i.e. a yes instead of no). Is this something that's automatic when you go into that section (selects yes and not no)? Or is it somehow not saving the updated answer? I'm not sure if this section affections the filing or not but I do want to make sure the information is accurate. If somehow it won't save and is submitted as is (with the incorrect answer selected), will the filing me denied? Sorry, I'm very new to this so I hope this makes sense. Thank you again in advance for your answer!

For Form NYC-1127, generally, only New York City employees living outside of the 5 boroughs must file Form NYC-1127.

You do not need to file Form NYC-1127 if you are a city resident or are not a NYC Government employee. NYC employees are individuals employed in a New York City Government agency such as NYPD, FDNY, Department of Finance, or the Department of Sanitation.

After reviewing the above information, does the NYC-1127 apply to you?

If not, then it is recommended that you first log out of your TurboTax Online and delete your cookies. For more information on how to delete your cookies on the browser you are using, please see How do I delete cookies?. After that is complete, try to change your answer again.

If it still reverts back to a yes answer, then please delete the form.

To remove the NYC-1127, please follow these steps:

Open your tax return.
Click on Tools.
Click on Delete a Form.
Scroll down to your state forms and look for the NYC-1127 and click Delete.

Hello, I tried to work with the cookies settings as well as delete the doc but my answer still reverts back to "yes" instead of what it needs to be ("no"). When I went to delete the document NYC-1127, it is not listed therefore I couldn't delete it.

I've submitted the diagnostic files and the token is 955136 and 955154 (I think I did it twice but it should all be the same)

I have looked at your tax return and did not find a NYC-1127 in your New York forms.

Furthermore, when I click Yes on the question Do you need to complete Form NYC-1127, it brings me to a page titled Tell Us About Your NYC employment. On this screen, I have to manually fill in the data for the NYC-1127. It does not populate automatically. If I go back and hit No, it brings me back to the Take a look at New York credits and taxes page.

You can hit No for the question Do you need to complete Form NYC-1127 and be confident that it is not being added to your return.
