Can I attach a PDF copy of SC-I-361 to my SC return before filing?

I qualify for the Parental Tax Credit in SC and have received my letter from SC DOR indicating my tentative approval amount for the credit. The form says that I should attach it as a PDF to my SC return before efiling. Can I do that with Turbo Tax Online?

No, you are not able to attach the form to the SC return with TurboTax. The instructions on South Carolina I-361 state that if you are filing electronically include the information from this form when you file your return. Or attach a copy to your return if you file by paper.

You still need to enter the amount of the credit that was listed on your Parental Refundable Credit Approval Notice and keep it with your records. Add the amounts if you are filing for more than one child.

Thx for the reply. I did include the amount when filling out the SC return in Turbo Tax Online and I can see the amounts listed in the on line 22d of my SC1040. Are you saying that I don't have to attach the SC-I-361 form to my return if I e-file? Or should I simply print out my SC return and include my SC-I-361 form with my return and mail it in?

You do not need to attach SC-I-361 to your return if you file electronically.

Form SC-I-361 instructions state this at the bottom of the page that was included in the previous post.

When filling out your SC taxes on TurboTax it will prompt you to enter your parental tax credit amount which will populate the value on the correct line on your SC return when you look at the pdf version of your return.
