Won't let me file NY return - says Form i1-196 needs an update

Using TT online in my browser and when i go to e-file, it tells me there is a problem with my NY return. The issues it says is:

"IT-196:_ Your return has a mortgage interest adjustment which will require an update in order to ensure that calculations are correct. To receive an update, select Check for Updates from the online menu to connect to our website."

I'm using TT in my browser and can't find any way to check for updates. Have tried multiple browsers and logins. Anyone able to help?

Yes, there are a bunch of us in the same boat. We just need to wait for the TurboTax people to finish working on it, sigh.

This applies to anyone who has bought or refinanced since December 2017 with a mortgage over $750,000. NY (and some other states like CA) applies the pre-Trump rules for state taxes, so the amount of your deduction is different between your federal return and state return.

So let me get this straight, I cannot file any taxes becuse TT hasn't updated the program properly?
