    <description>&lt;P&gt;It's best to e-file all your tax returns together if possible. If you are not able to do that, you can file either New York or New Mexico first and the second state later.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Both states use federal income as a starting point so either state will accept your return once&amp;nbsp;your federal return is accepted.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
