      <description>&lt;P&gt;No.&amp;nbsp; That is third party support and not support provided by the children themselves.&amp;nbsp; For purposes, of the (qualifying child) dependent support test, they are not providing more than half their own support.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The rules were changed back in 2004.&amp;nbsp; Parents can claim their children (including adopted &amp;amp; foster children) even if on welfare.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
