I am using TT Home Business 2020. I have 2 states downloaded for multiple family members.

"K" lived in State 1 for full year and had zero income for State 2. I didn't ask TurboTax to create a return for State 2, but it popped up anyway and showed taxes due. Obviously I will not file this, but I would like to get rid of State 2 for "K" so it won't roll over into 2021 TT next year.

I also went into State 2 return and everything shows zero income for that state, but the calculations still show taxes due. That doesn't seem right. How can it take Federal info showing only income for State 1 and apply it to State 2? Ultimately, I just want to delete that return so it won't roll into TT next year. Thank you.

I am using a MAC, but that directed to a similar function File-Remove Data - state

Unfortunately, TT doesn't seem to like that command and has been spinning for quite a while. I may have to reboot, but that does seem to be the answer I needed.

Thanks.
