I efiled my return last night and it was accepted by federal today, but can I amend it since we discovered several errors when we reviewed the printed copy?

You can amend if your review has been accepted, but it is best to wait until your original return has been processed and you have received your refund or paid your tax due. You will need to prepare an amended tax return on a 1040X and mail it in. You cannot e-file an amended return. They have to be mailed, and it takes up to 16 weeks for the IRS to process an amended return. 3 weeks after you mailed your amendment, you can start tracking its progress at the IRS Where's My Amended Return? site.
