      <description>&lt;P&gt;No.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Union Fees do not qualify for Section 179, so that does not apply.&amp;nbsp; Even if they did (but they don't), you would still need to enter it on your 2016 tax return so it could be carried to 2017.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you want to claim those fees, you would need to amend your 2016 tax return.&amp;nbsp; However, that deduction is in a category that limited to the amount &lt;B&gt;over&lt;/B&gt; 2% of your income, and would further be reduced or eliminated if you don't usually Itemize your deductions.&amp;nbsp; In other words, there is a good change it won't save you any money to amend.&amp;nbsp; However, you may want to try it to see if it does do anything.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;
