Feedback on the audit defense services

I was audited for 2013 and 2014 this part year. I had signed up for audit defense for both years. The audit defense service was not helpful and the process resulted in me owing the state of MA $1,790 in addtional taxes. It took several months of time and I was often tryingto track down the audit counsler. On one occasion we actually missed a deadline because the audit counselor was not repsonsive for over a week. I followed the Turbo Tax self-paced process exactly and yet was still found liable for $1,700 in additional taxes after the audit. I wil reconsider using the service in favor of a tax professional.

I can imagine the experience you had was quite frustrating, and I understand the results were not what you were expecting. Honestly I wouldn't expect that experience myself, and although it sounds like you may be done with the service I recommend reaching out once more.
