I'm filing 1040X. The instructions say to submit all forms that have changed. Obviously 1040 has changed. Does the revised 1040 have to be signed in addition to the 1040X.

Do not include your old 1040 nor your revised 1040 because the Form 1040X reflects any changes there and becomes your new tax return.

Per the Instructions for filing the 1040x; on page 5 it states IF you are filing a "Carryback Claim" DO "include both pages of the 1040 as well as SCH A, C, D or any other forms that would show the original loss AND write on the top of the 1040 and SCH A ... "ATTACHMENT TO FORM 1040x -COPY ONLY- DO NOT PROCESS".

TT does put "CARRYBACK CLAIM" on the 1040x but TT does not write "ATTACHMENT......" on the top of any other pages! You need to do this (or at least I had to)
