Change banking information on return

Personal issues has promoted me to close the account I put on the return. There needs to be a way to change it. Please help.

Once the return has been sent to IRS and accepted, there is no ability to change it.

IRS will try to send to the bank account on the return, if not accepted at that bank, IRS will mail you a check.

If IRS did not accept your return, you can update the bank information and re-file through e-file.
