topic Under review in After you file

So I was under a 60 day review and then once the 60 days were up had to send in an appeal. Finally got someone one the phone that told me what the issue was. So i did the amended tax return, come to find out they owe me more money. Now my question is, am I still going to have to wait on the original amount and the ammeded amount? Since I'm having to mail it in, that will add 12 more weeks....when they would have been better off sending me the original amount.

The amount you receive should be that shown on the amended return, since it is greater then what was on your original return. The irs doesn't care how much they refund you, only that it be the correct amount.
