It is not recommended to have your refund sent to someone else's bank account if your name is not on that account.

It is very possible that the bank may reject the refund and it will be sent back to IRS. They will have to re-process the refund and then send you a check via mail. It'll take longer than it would have taken had you gone ahead and requested a check refund initially.
