topic 5 State E-File Limit in After you file

I'm frustrated that Turbotax counts each attempt at a state e-file as usage toward your 5 state e-file limit. For instance, I tried to e-file a state for a family member recently and it did not transmit on the first two attempts due to software updates needed. On my third attempt (after I realized I needed to check for software updates), my state return was finally transmitted electronically through TurboTax. Intuit counts this as 3 e-files for state when it fact it was only one actual e-file state transmission. I spoke with multiple customer service reps at Intuit and even escalated this up to the highest level (more than 3 hours on the phone with their customer service) and no one was able to figure out how to correct this major flaw in the system for tracking e-files for state. This is important to me as I have 5 state e-files that I planned to use and and 2 were erroneously used up by a major flaw in the Intuit tracking system. Message to Intuit: Please count the e-file limit for states based on actual transmissions, and not on attempted transmissions. This is a major software flaw and should be fixed ASAP. Your current method feels so incredibly unfair and wrong to your paying customers.
