If you selected to have your payment taken out of your refund, then you won't be able to choose to receive a check. You would need to change your payment option to Pay With Card instead. If you choose to do so, you can do the following:

To change the option:

Log in to your online account, and then click on the Take Me to My Return
Click on the File tab at the end and then click on Start (or Revisit) next to Step 1.
You should see View Payment Options at the bottom. Click on this
Here you'll be able to click Pay by Card
After you enter in your information, click Continue. This will take you back to the page with Step 1-3.
Click on Start/Revisit next to Step 2. Select the option to receive a paper check
