This year Daughter 1 is not eligible for AOTC and I entered that she has already got 4 years of AOTC so she is not eligible but will get Lifetime learning Credit. My Daughter 2 is eligible for AOTC. Since I have to file 8862 this year as required by IRS, after filling in all the details, the 8862 form was generated but is incorrect. It is telling both Daughter 1 and Daughter 2 are eligible, whereas only Daughter 2 should be eligible. There is no way to edit and correct the form 8862.
