TurboTax hasn’t programmed the amended return portion of their app, yet. It changed us halfway through the process from Married filing jointly to assuming I was dead and my husband was filing single. It then left out over over $2,000 in tax withholding. It was a mess! We have 8 - 1099’s and no deductions. It’s a very simple return. In the past, it was free to file, but we were charged $40.00 this year. There was no way to go back and figure out where the error occurred. It was a bare bones app that wasn’t properly tested before publishing using the iOS app or browser app. It constantly assaulted the user with advertising and marketing trying to up-sale. We will have to file an amended return correcting all the mistakes after we receive the erroneous refund payment from the IRS in order to get the remainder of our overpayment.

Always print a copy of your completed tax return for your records, and review it carefully before e-Filing.
You will need it if you are audited by the IRS, to contact the IRS, or to amend if a TurboTax update changes your return or for any other reason,
SUCH AS, ....

to observe that your have marked the proper filing status.

AND, to find your AGI next year.

Without a doubt, this is the worst tax software I have ever used. I have been using tax software for at least 25 years. I had trouble from the start. It took me 25 minutes to get the software loaded. The information on the card which came with it was wrong. normally in the past it would take me 4-5 hours to complete my taxes. This year I spent close to 15 hours this year.

Next year it may be TaxCut for me.
