Yes. The work on that section of TurboTax (Rental and depreciation of rentals) is still in process. The updates are now scheduled to be released with this week's updates, which usually come through Thursday night.

Use this link Sign up for email notification which will let you know when the depreciation/amortization will be ready to file for Schedule E. This will be the most efficient notification.

I guess we will see. I've seen this same response for a month now, "Oh, don't worry, it will be released this week, just sign up for the email alerts" and guess what, it's still not done. I think we would all appreciate more honesty here. I've been using TT Desktop for decades and have never had this issue. And before you ask, Yes I even tried the online version last year and compared to the desktop version it's "meh" Less control, less info displayed like the running total of what the taxes owed or returned will be after each entry...

Can you give us the honest truth? Will this ever be done or do I need to ask for a refund and take my business elsewhere?

The work on this section of TurboTax is continuing and expected to be completed with an update coming after Thursday night (2/19). The best time to check for a change will be Friday (2/20).

Just a point of clarification, the IRS did not finalize this form until Feb 11, 2026. You can see this here: IRS Draft Tax Forms, Instructions for Form 4562, Depreciation and Amortization (Including Information on Listed Property).

Once a form is finalized by the IRS, it has to be coded into the special language the software uses and has to be thoroughly tested for calculations and e-filing acceptability. The IRS then has to approve it for e-file. It always takes a little longer for a form to become available for e-file in a software program. The dates are subject to change due to all that needs to be done.
