ACTION REQUIRED

I filed my refund one week ago. I just logged into the IRS website to check the status and it says action required. It says they we received my refund and are reviewing it and "might" need additional information. I am wondering if this has anything to with just being notified that I owed taxes in 2023 and I had to sign a form and send back to them agreeing with the balance (which I did). Has this happened to anyone else? Thank you for everyones assistance.

TurboTax gets no information from the IRS after you file your tax return and the IRS accepts it for processing. No one at TT knows what "action" you might need to take or even if you need to take any action. If the IRS wants more information from you they will send you a letter in the mail, and then you will need to follow the instructions in their letter. We cannot guess why they are saying action needed.
