I bought both deluxe and Home & Business, can I install them in the same PC?

No. Why did you buy both? The Desktop program can do unlimited returns and efile 5 federal for free. And All the Desktop programs have the same forms. You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions. So Deluxe will work for everything.

Why do you need Home & Business? Do you need to file a separate Business or Estate/Trust return? Then you need Turbo Tax Business which is separate from Home & Business. Home & Business is mainly for personal 1040 returns the need Schedule C for self employment.

No. You cannot install two versions of 2025 desktop download on the same computer. Why do you even want to do that? With either one, you can prepare and e-file up to five federal returns and the associated state returns that go with them, and prepare and mail additional returns. Why not pick one and return the other one for a refund? You do not need two versions of desktop software. The only time that you might need two versions is if you need TurboTax Business for business (such as S-corps, C-corps, etc. ) or estate returns and a version like Deluxe, Premier or Home & Business for your personal return.

Oh, I just remembered. There is a way to have 2 licenses or 2 versions. You don’t have to install the second program.

Under Help - Switch Product - Activate new product. Don't know what that will do or what benefit you will get. Don't think it will allow you to efile more than 5. Or give you a different free state program.

returns in my family, two of them need to file Sch C.

I’ll my family use TurbiTax, we are 7 members, 2 of them need to fill Sch C

You can only efile 5 of them. The other 2 you will have to print and mail. So only efile the most complicated ones and mail the simple ones. Or maybe 2 of them can use the Online Free Edition. Try to get a refund for one of the programs.

Thank you. My wife and Me use the same computer, she has her own account. Could install one software each?
Still the 5 returns restriction apply?
