    <description>Should I call the IRS (is that possible) and ask whats going on? I also paid the extra to receive my return in 5 days.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The IRS may have found a mistake on your tax return or you might owe back tax or child support, etc. that has caused an offset to your refund. &amp;nbsp;When the IRS lowers your refund they mail you a letter that explains why your refund is less. &amp;nbsp; Usually the letter comes a week or two after the refund. &amp;nbsp; TurboTax gets no information from the IRS after you file your return, so no one at TT can tell you why the refund is less.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You did not pay to get your refund "in five days" although users seem to misinterpret that offer --&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;"5 days early" means you are supposed to receive your refund from one to five days sooner than the refund date shown on the IRS refund site. &amp;nbsp; If it does not meet that "at least one day sooner" date, they are supposed to refund the $35 fee.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You have to pay attention to the date on the IRS refund site.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount&amp;nbsp; (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
