Will amending an amended return trigger an audit?

I have to amend an amended return due to a small error ($1,000 underreported) in foreign-earned income (passive on investments). Is this difficult to do? Will it most likely trigger an audit?

No. Amending a tax return in itself does not trigger an audit.
