You can contact your local Taxpayer Advocate, to expedite your refund, if:

* You are experiencing a financial hardship

*You are experiencing an on-going issue with the IRS, which is delaying your refund.

Find your local Taxpayer Advocate here: https://www.irs.gov/advocate/local-taxpayer-advocate

Keep in mind that this is a government-type organization, so while they may be able to expedite your refund a bit, don't expect any miracles.

There's no way to predict what all the IRS will do during processing. The IRS says 9 out of 10 filers who use efiling and direct deposit will get refunds within 21 days.

If you efiled, double-check with this tool to be sure the return was efiled successfully and accepted:

If that showed it was accepted (or if you mailed the return), you can monitor the Federal refund at:
https://www.irs.gov/Refunds
