If you have received a notification from TurboTax that your return has been “Accepted” it means that the IRS has accepted it for processing. It does not mean that it has been processed yet, just that it is complete and accurate for them to start working on processing your return.

You might also get a message for estimated processing time. This is just an estimate, since TurboTax has no control over when the IRS or any state will process your return, once they have been “accepted” by them.

The IRS issues most refunds within 21 days, assuming that there is no delay and nothing is holding your return.

Also, some returns are subject to an automatic hold due to the Path Act when certain credits are claimed.

Hi,

When I say "refund" I am not referring to a tax refund.

I paid for a turbo tax accountant to do my taxes for this year. Unfortunately, I selected the service twice (and so I had to pay the fee twice, which was around $400). I realised after I paid and so I want to get the payment for one of those services refunded, which I requested...but turbotax have not yet issued me a refund.

Again, this is a refund for a TurboTax service which I paid for and NOT related to a tax refund.

I have already submitted a refund request a number of weeks ago but I still have not received any updates and I have not received a refund.

Im also wondering the same thing. I never received a case # for a refunded product. We would like some kind of answers here, please.

Turbotax playing with fire here after the lawsuit in 2022 over "free" services.
