If you used online TurboTax you can find your online account by using the same account and user ID that you used for 2024 to access the return.

You have to access your own account and/or print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.

Start a 2025 return online and enter some personal information so that the menu on the left opens up and lets you access your past year returns.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them. Log out of the account you are in now.

Account Recovery

If you used desktop download software, the 2024 return is only stored on your old PC's hard drive or any back up device you used like a flash drive. It is not stored online.

You can get a free transcript from the IRS or for a fee of $30, an actual copy of your tax return.

Are you trying to transfer 2024 into 2025? If you used the Desktop program last year you should have the file ending in .tax2024 on your computer. You can transfer it into the Online version but you have to do it by logging in to online from your computer. Then you can switch and log into the table.
