What product are you using, and how were you able to just now pay for efiling? And I'll assume you are referring to a 2024 return. Underneath your question it says "Online TurboTax." Online TurboTax cannot prepare or efile a 2024 return. And in Online TurboTax, there is no fee to efile, even when it becomes available in January 2026. Efiling is free with Online TurboTax.

How did you pay? Maybe you prepaid for the 2025 return. Or did you pay for the Desktop program to file your 2024 return?
