Because she filed with the same company last year, they used that return to determine her loan amount for this year. But the important note is that she’ll receive it within a week. I have never received an advance this soon, but it would be so helpful. I want to know if turbo tax offers this service and how do I apply for it if so? I have filed with Turbo tax for a few years now.

There are 2 different loans you can get. There is a Flex Loan you can get now before you file your 2025 return or the Refund Advance based on your 2025 tax return.

The Refund Advance usually starts in January and just when you are ready to file. And only if they offered it to you. You can't self select it. Then you don't get it until AFTER your efile is Accepted by the IRS which is usually late January.

No, TurboTax does not have anything like that. Any 2025 tax loan advance is based on the 2025 federal tax return and the federal tax refund.

The TurboTax 2025 tax refund advance will not be effective until after January 1, 2026
