To receive a paper check for your refund:

When you click the File tab, you click Start in the Step 1 section.
Click View payment options at the bottom of the page.
You will be taken to the screen that asks how you want to pay for your return. If you select, Pay with your refund, you will not be given the option to receive a paper check. You will only be given this option if you select Pay with your credit card.
If you select Pay with your credit card, you will enter your card information and then follow the prompts to make your payment.
Next, proceed to step 2, where you will be brought to the screen where you will choose Paper Check.
