there are some situations that Turbotax doesn't handle. Also, any carryforward info will need to be entered. (2023 carryforwards into a test return for 2024 if you do it or if you're doing 2025 any 2024 carryforward info. Whether these exist in your 2024 return or will exist for 2025 is unknown. you can do as @VolvoGirl suggests and see if you end up with the same results though this is no guarantee that there may be something omitted or incorrect that does not affect the final results. Turbotax DOES NOT file your return like a pro does. after entering your info and making sure it's correct the final step is to click on the icon that says, "Transmit Returns Now" (or you can mail them (Turbotax will provide instructions that can be printed out)

if you efile you'll receive an email telling you the return(s) were submitted. Then you should receive a second email for each return (if you have state returns that you efile they're separate) that says either accepted or rejected. Accepted means you have nothing further to do unless the IRS/state sends you an inquiry that could be about anything in your return. Rejected means there is some issue. the reject code or message tells you what the issue is. it needs attention. Some reasons, through no fault of your own, will require you to mail the returns. otherwise, once corrected you can resubmit like above and will again receive those emails.

if you have questions when doing your 2025 return you can post them in this PUBLIC forum so do not provide personal info like a telephone number

One thing you can do is fill out a 2024 return online and see if it matches the accountant's return and if you are comfortable using Turbo Tax. You can start the Online web version for free and only pay if you want to see all the forms or print it out. Or you can buy the Desktop program. Online and Desktop have different features and pricing.

Sign in or start an Online return here. But online is only available until Oct 15.
https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online
