Hi. Where on the tax return do the amounts shown on the TT summary come from?

Are you using the Online version or the Desktop program? If you are looking at a summary screen or review screen those show the full amounts (like from a 1099R or SS) as income not just the taxable amounts and lump a lot of stuff together. You need to check the actual 1040 form and make sure it's right. Before filing you can preview the 1040 or print the whole return

TY Volvo Girl. I'm using the desktop version. I must be missing something because I can't get the numbers in the return to match up to the numbers in the summary. Gonna try again.

Like which numbers are you try to match up? Have you switched to Forms mode and looked around? What summary are you looking at? As I said above the summary might be showing you the full gross amount and not the taxable amount. Like for SS it is the gross amount on line 6a and not the taxable amount on 6b.

@VolvoGirl I'm looking at both the tax summary and the return summary. I've gone thru the forms a few times. I will step away for a while and come back to this.
