I submitted my return but since realized I did not max out my 2024 HSA contributions.

Can I do an amended return with the maximum contributions (this would mean I would have to contribute the

balance to get up to the max into my HSA after the 4/15/25 deadline).

No, you cannot make HSA contributions for 2024 after April 15, 2025. Filing an amended return does not extend the deadline for making HSA contributions.
