Once the tax return has been filed and accepted, the method of receiving a tax refund cannot be changed. If the bank information is incorrect then the bank will reject the deposit and send the refund back to the IRS. The IRS will then mail a refund check to the address on the tax return.

You cannot change the account for direct deposit. You can call the IRS at 800-829-1040 and see if they can cancel the direct deposit and mail a check to you instead.
