I began to amend my 2024 tax return, already filed on February 8, 2025. After filing I received a form 1099-K for renting a timeshare in 2024 I had forgotten about. To amend my tax return and report the expenses equal to the income, your system seems to be asking me to upgrade to a Premium level for the amendment. Is that correct? The system is asking me to pay $183 for both state and federal returns. Isn't that a bit esxhobitant given my original returns were filed for free? Please clarify.
