So I filed my taxes and received my refund but then I got W2 from other jobs I had this year and so I filed amended tax back in February it told me I have to $500 I haven’t received any letters and when I filed the amended it said I would get $900 back my question is will it take that $500 from the $900 or do I have to pay the $500.

Please clarify,

You received a refund for the original return? How much?

What did the Amended return show?

Usually the amended shows what you owe or are getting as a refund AFTER the original refund was received.

Yes I received a refund from the original 1422 and then when I went to do the amendment and it told me federal I would get $900 more back and state I owe $500

You can use the IRS website Check your amended return

It may take about three weeks to start processing
