Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.

Thank you for the fast response, but this is not helpful.

I cannot find the 1040X. Nor can I find out how to get Turbotax to complete the info for me.

your link th the FAQ is no different from what I already rated as not helpful.

Can you give me some more practical help, please?

If you completed and filed the 2024 tax return using the TurboTax online editions, sign onto your account.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents. Click on the Year 2024 and Click on Amend (change) return

If you completed and filed the 2024 tax return using the TurboTax desktop editions -

Start the 2024 TurboTax program

Continue the 2024 tax return that you need to amend

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home & Business)

Click on Other Tax Situations

Under Other Tax Forms

On Amend a return, click on the start button
