Turbotax only retains the last 7 years. Your returns are permanently gone. The IRS also deletes returns after 7 years.

in the future make a pdf copy of your filed returns. save one copy offline like on a thumb drive

Sorry--TurboTax and the IRS save returns for seven years. TT no longer has 2015 or 2016. You night get lucky and be able to get a transcript of the returns from the IRS. A transcript will not look like the Form 1040.
