I think the calculations on my expected tax return from Virginia aren’t accurately done by Turbo Tax or at least I should get more than what is shown

I want to prepare a state return.

When you use TurboTax the information flows from the federal return to the state return. You cannot use TT to prepare a "stand alone" state return. Try going to your state's tax website to see if you can file there.

You probably don't have enough VA state tax withheld from your paychecks during the year.

Were you a full year VA resident? A Virginia resident return must include income from all sources.

If you were a Virginia resident, check 2024 Form 760 Resident Individual Income Tax Instructions.

Your VA taxable income will show on form 760 line 15.

Use this calculator to compute your Virginia tax amount based on your taxable income.
